How To Get Limestone in Final Fantasy XIV (Island Sanctuary)

To find and farm Limestone on the Island Sanctuary in Final Fantasy XIV, players must search the areas near water on the island’s western side.

One of the many new resources exclusive to the Island Sanctuary in Final Fantasy XIV is Island Limestone, also referred to simply as Limestone. As Warriors of Light create the hideaway of their dreams, they will need minerals such as Limestone to build various structures. Accordingly, knowing where to find and farm Island Limestone is essential for one’s progression in the Island Sanctuary.

However, the land mass of the Island Sanctuary in Final Fantasy XIV is surprisingly vast. The Wilds, in particular, is the locale that takes up the majority of the island. Here, players will find all manner of plants, minerals, and other resources to develop their paradise. With such a large area to explore, it can be challenging to find where Island Limestone nodes can be found. Moreover, much of the environment blends well together, which is a good characteristic for screenshots but inconvenient for locating farming points. Therefore, players must be sure to keep an eye out for the sparkling particle effects that spawn from harvestable nodes.

Similar to real-world Limestone, Island Limestone in Final Fantasy XIV‘s Island Sanctuary generates near shallow water. Hence, the nodes that players are looking for are only near sources of water. This means that the central forests of The Wild will naturally not have Limestone available for harvesting. On the other hand, players can know one of the best farming spots for collecting Limestone thanks to footage by YouTube content creator Novice Druid Emrys.

Farming Limestone In FFXIV Island Sanctuary

Starting from the Home Sweet Hideaway, travel towards the mainland in The Wilds. Eventually, players will come upon Pristine Pond, a small pool of water in the southwest. Go north and approach the southern mouth of the Northward Stream to encounter several sparkling rock nodes along the river bank. Harvesting these points will yield Island Stone and Island Limestone. If players continue to reap all the nodes up the river, they will also acquire Island Sand and Island Tinsand. After reaching a small cascade along the stream, Mount up and return to the river mouth. The Island Limestone rocks should have all respawned, allowing players to repeat the farming process in FFXIV until they’ve collected all the Limestone they need.

Limestone can also be discovered near the midpoint of the Northward Stream, east of the Gentle Slope. Furthermore, several more nodes are located near Pirate Bay, a landmark on the northwestern side of the Island Sanctuary. Nonetheless, visiting these areas solely for Limestone might not be efficient if it’s the only resource Final Fantasy XIV players are searching for, as the nodes near Pristine Pond are closest to the Home Sweet Hideaway.
