Raising more than 300 telescopes is China’s answer to protect the Internet from a solar storm

Between the end of every August and the beginning of every September, the Earth must prepare itself to receive additional loads of particles coming from our massive star. This phenomenon is the product of a solar storm that directly affects the axis on which most of the world’s activities work: the Internet.

A solar storm, at least those that have been recorded in the last decade, does not endanger the essential development of life. However, it does impact the core mechanism of fiber optic network connections.
