Chelsea’s miserable Premier League season comes to an end today when they host Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard’s men are currently languishing down in 12th place in the Premier League table in light of the turbulence encountered on and off the field this term and they are guaranteed to finish in the bottom half of the division.

They could even finish as low as 14th if they lose and results elsewhere go against them.

Newcastle, meanwhile, will be eager to pip Manchester United to third in the table having qualified for the Champions League earlier this week.

The match will kick-off today (Sunday, May 28) at 4.30pm.

Is Chelsea vs Newcastle on TV?

Chelsea vs Newcastle is not being shown live on TV in the UK.

Sky Sports and BT Sport have instead opted to broadcast the trio of fixtures from the relegation battle as well as Aston Villa’s home clash against Brighton.

Highlights will be available to watch on Sky Sports and YouTube after the match has ended.

A Sunday edition of Match of the Day will take place tonight on BBC One from 10.30pm.

Team news

Reece James will be unavailable for selection having suffered a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Mason Mount, who could well have played his final game for the Blues amid his ongoing contract saga, will face a late fitness test having been out since undergoing surgery on his pelvis last month.

Benoit Badiashile is in a race against time to be fit for the start of next season having sustained a hamstring injury in training last week, whilst Armando Broja, N’Golo Kante and Marc Cucurella remain sidelined with injury.

Newcastle, meanwhile, will be without Joelinton and Javier Manquillo.
