LAKELAND, Fla. — Daniella Bruce will be joining the Detroit Tigers radio crew in 2023, contributing to the pre- and post-game shows along with some in-game reports from Comerica Park.
Bruce joined longtime play-by-play man Dan Dickerson in the booth for a few innings of Tuesday’s game at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium.
Bruce is a digital reporter and producer for the Tigers and Red Wings. She has also done sideline reporting for Oakland University basketball and Detroit City FC.
“Words can’t describe how thankful I am for this opportunity and the belief this organization has in me!” Bruce wrote on social media. “And of course, the continuous support from fans. Let’s do this.”
Bruce is the second change announced for Tigers’ radio broadcasts in 2023.
Former player Bobby Scales will broadcast about 40 games in the booth alongside Dickerson, primarily on the road.
Dickerson’s longtime partner Jim Price has been traveling sparingly in recent years due to health issues.
