TikTok star Addison Rae has been slammed for ‘ruining’ an unreleased Lady Gaga song after recording her own version of the demo track for her newly-released album.
The 22-year-old influencer dropped her EP named AR last Friday and one of the five tracks is Nothing On (But The Radio) which was recorded by Gaga in 2010 during her Born This Way recording sessions.
However, it never made it onto the final cut of the album but the full demo of the song leaked in October 2010 – and is a favorite among Gaga’s legion of fans.
Upon hearing Rae’s cover, people immediately took to Twitter and criticized the ‘horrible’ version.
One person fumed: ‘Addison Rae you ruined it. I would never dare to release a Gaga demo if it’s not as good or better than the original version.’

And a third person joked: ‘Not Gaga’s low quality demo still eating this Addison Rae version up (still glad I can stream the song).’
Someone else tweeted: ‘Addison Rae SUCKS! Her version sounds horrible. She ruined Nothing On (But The Radio.) That basic horrible artist will NEVER be a current or future pop queen. Lady Gaga’s version was better.’
When a video of Rae dancing in a convertible to her version of the song was posted on Twitter, the backlash continued.
‘she absolutely butchered that song,’ one person said, while another commented: ‘where is Gaga’s vibe??? This song was killed and hard.’
A third said: ‘I don’t like this version,’ and a fourth person joked: ‘Cleansing my ears with the original now.’
Other fans rushed to the comments section on YouTube where one person had uploaded Gaga’s version of the track a couple of weeks ago. The video has since been deleted.
‘Addison’s version just proves that lady gaga is untouchable and especially when its her own song damn you WISH,’ one person wrote.
Another said: ‘Gaga will never be outdone and this is proof!’ while a third accused: ‘Addison’s label really trying to delete gaga’s demo from the internet.. Good luck to them, this is a MAJOR song for us Little Monsters and we won’t let it go that easily.’
However, a different person argued: ‘Addison was paying homage to Gaga. This song was going nowhere, and Addison brought it back to life. Both can be bops!’
Rae – who is good friends with Kourtney Kardashian – took to Instagram to promote her new EP but sharing some glamorous shots from a recent photo shoot with Ellen von Unwerth.

In the caption of the post, the social media star referenced the fact that some of her songs were leaked last year.
‘AR out now. Before I can move on to my next chapter in music, here’s a little sign off to my previous one,’ Rae began.
‘A few of you may have heard these songs after they were unfortunately leaked last year.. but if you loved them, now you can listen to them on all streaming platforms!!! Ahhh!!
‘If you haven’t heard them, I hope you take a listen and they make you dance!! I love you all so much. And I love these songs. Thank you to everyone who has been so excited about these and has supported me so much!!’
She continued: ‘And thank you to all of the writers/producers/engineers/everyone who were a part of creating and finishing this little time capsule & helping to get it out in the world (officially).
‘Time to turn the page now. Stay tuned. It’ll be worth the wait,’ Rae added.
In early August 2022, a total of 10 of her unreleased songs were leaked on SoundCloud – but Rae didn’t let it get her down.
On August 11, 2022, she tweeted: ‘I love that a few of the songs I made that I would’ve never let see the light of day are some of peoples favorites.
‘Thankful for people who support me (and even the ones who don’t) for being kind to others. What goes around comes around, so be kind,’ she added.
