Trio Mio Hits Back at Radio Presenter Over KCSE Remarks in Freestyle Hit: “Mbuku Sishiki Nothing”

  • In their radio show, they claimed Trio was only making good music because he was under pressure coming from KCSE exams
  • Trio however asked what they two were talking about adding that if they got As in school they would be engineers and that he’s never lost sleep for things people say

Budding rapper Trio Mio has released a diss freestyle track targeting KISS 100 presenters who claimed he was only making good music because he had KCSE pressure.

Trio Mio: Not validated by KNEC results

Trio who sat for the national secondary exams in 2022 had indicated that whatever outcome the results will be will not determine who he is and what he becomes in the future.

However, the Steppa crooner shared a video that starts with a snippet of Chito Ndhlovu and Cyd Wambui talking about the young guy’s music career.

In their conversation, Chito tells Trio that now that he is done with KCSE he should be ready for ‘life CSE’ and that this year would determine his break or breakthrough now that he no longer has pressure.

But, Trio went hard with his freestyle and starts by asking what Chito was talking about before his rap begins.

Part of the freestyle lyrics say:

“Dimba sijai kuwa starting team, mbuku sishiki nothing in but kitu inaitwa mziki, mi ni mwalimu mkuu wa marking scheme. Ka topic no success nikona A Kwa school of life. Ile KNEC watanipea haitawahi determine food ya mine, niko stu nagrind, book na rhymes, took my time nikaiperfect, hater busy anaunda memes achekinoama zitaniaffect. Nyi wote mngekuwa na A, mngekuwa ma civil engineer.”

He further took a dig at them saying they are busy fighting for positions that have been reserved for senior people’s kids.

“Speculation ya results, validation kutoka KNEC, education ujue ni must, expectation kuget cheques, vitu ni different kwa ground. Intellect haipimwi na watu wa internet kwa cloud, alphabet kwa transcript isikufanye ufeel profound, numbers juu ya bank slip zisikufanye usleep around, na ndio maana nastick na sound, mi niko bie, naishi kama MCA,” he said.

He also added that his music keeps being played on repeat by deejays despite people talking about him.

“I’m never losing sleep, sijai kosa usingizi wakisema I’m losing steam, sijai kosa usingizi juu ya stress ya music scene, sijai kosa usingizi nikona faith and peace within, na kila day namove na team, napiga biz nado the thing,’ he further said.

Trio, who turned 18 years old in 2022, disclosed he went the homeschooling way to keep up with education.

In an interview, the artiste said he decided to seek that alternative because people questioned when he studies, yet he is always out doing shows every weekend.

He added that making money at an early age has made him happy because he can see his peers not yet doing anything with their lives.
