Westchester County Executive George Latimer’s perspective with respect to COVID-19 three years after the first case was recognized. This despite COVID-19 hospitalizations projected to infect approximately 1,000 people every week. We learn that updates have been ended, yet Governor Hochul maintains the pertinent vigil by informing the public via her weekly advisements.

While plastic utensils have been banned from being included automatically in take-out foods it will henceforth be required that the customer specifically request the plastic utensils. This reality will be administered by delis, restaurants and supermarkets. Yet juxtaposed to this reality is that $7 million in revenues were generated from recycling these plastic utensils in 2022.
